1 onion, chopped
4 large cloves of garlic (lasoon), minced
2 carrots, chopped
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 can garbanzo beans (chick peas/cholle)
Juice of 1 small lemon
4 tablespoons tahini (sesame (til) paste)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)


 
  1. Stir fry garlic (lasoon), onions, and carrots in olive oil until tender.
  2. Add to blender and blend 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add lemon juice, soy sauce, spices and sesame (til) paste and blend again.
  4. Drain chick peas, but keep liquid.
  5. Add chickpeas a few spoonful at a time until fully blended.
  6. Add reserved liquid if hummus gets too thick.

Serve this dip hot or cold with pita bread and raw veggies for dipping.
