1 cup 100% Bran, Fiber One, Bran Buds, or All-Bran
1 large egg
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup dry sugar substitute
2 tablespoon water
2 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
2 tablespoon water
1 cup all purpose flour (maida)(maida)
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoon dry buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon (dalchini)
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup raisins (kishmish)


 
  1. Place bran, egg, vegetable oil, sugar substitute, brown sugar, applesauce, and water in mixer bowl. 
  2. Mix lightly and let stand for 30 to 45 minutes. (This standing is very important to allow the cereal to soften.)
  3. Heat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius
  4. Stir flour, soda, dry buttermilk, salt, and cinnamon together to blend.
  5. Add flour mixture to bran mixture and mix at medium speed to blend well. 
  6. Add pecans and raisins.
  7. Spread the batter evenly in a well-greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
  8. Bake at 175 degrees Celsius for about 45 minutes, or until a cake tester comes out clean from the center and the cake pulls away from the sides of the pan.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then turn out onto a wire rack and cool to room temperature.
